Wow. I haven’t posted a single thing since October…

Here’s the dining room table decked out in all things cute and springlike. Becky baked and decorated the cookies yesterday. Everything on the table for the most part is from the dollar spot at Target

Target is a total budget buster. I go in to buy toilet paper and paper towels, and leave with cute table runners and Liberty of London umbrellas and totebags.

It is 80 degrees today, which is so rare for springtime in C-town. The neighborhood has sprung back to life after the long winter. I can hear lots of raking and sweeping and birds singing. I am always amazed at how much debris we rake from our postage stamp sized yard. Daffodils are in bloom, and peonies are starting to sprout. I wonder if it safe to move them? They are so beautiful in bloom, but take up a large amount of sunny garden real estate.

Wishing you a Happy Easter and a wonderful Spring!

mom1I know it’s been a week since Mother’s Day, but couldn’t resist sharing a few photos of the past weekend. I love all of the pink that was bestowed on my Mom, who deserved to have the best Mother’s Day ever. (LOve you Mom!). I love the pink Gerbera Daisies, and check out the tin that they came in.

The gift bag was from Becky to my Mom. Want to see what she gave her?

socksNow I may be biased, but is Becky the sweetest granddaughter ever. A pair of super cozy, super stripy, gorgeous socks hand knit by her.She is an amazing knitter, and gave me a refresher course so I could start crocheting again.

We had a wonderful day at my Mom’s house, eating and chatting and crocheting…

crochetHere is the start of what was going to be my version of Lucy’s Attic 24 bag. However, it grew exceedingly large and i ripped it back and it is now waiting to be made into a pillow. Now that I kind of know what I am doing, I have started another bag and it is going to be super cute and can’t wait to finish it. I’ll keep you posted on my progress.

P.S. I have developed a blisted on my finger from so much crocheting :).

Heading off tomorrow on a girls road trip to Ikea.  It takes about 2  hours to get to the closest store, so it should be an adventure and a lot of fun. Will share what I find during the week!

I finished this bag for my etsy shop, but Becky decided she loved it too much to let me sell it.

I agree. I’ll have to make another.

Becky said this while watching the Boston Red Sox trample the Colorado Rockies last night during game 4 of the World Series. Now if only we could find something to feed our Cleveland Indians for next season. Pierogies, kielbasa ?

Today’s weather forecast and the perfect day for fall decorating, don’t you think? It’s hard to believe that it’s October 8th and the weather is like midsummer. No complaints from me since we don’t have to turn on the furnace and owe the gas company a zillion dollars.

Here’s some indoor decorating,

and some outdoor decorating. That flag makes me smile every time I pull into the driveway. Just one of those goofy things that make me happy.
